About olive oil
Using Olive Oil as a moisturizer has been a time old tradition, which has now
been rediscovered. Olive oil was one of the first vegetable oils used to make
soap. It is reputed to have originated in Castile Castle as early as 1567.
Olive Oil has many vital minerals, vitamins and antioxidants, which provide
nourishment that will keep your skin looking and feeling youthful.
Olive Oil is a fruit oil obtained from the olive tree (Olea europaea), a
traditional crop of the Mediterranean Basin. It is used in cooking, cosmetics,
pharmaceuticals, and soaps, and as a fuel for traditional oil lamps.
Olive oil is a healthful oil, because of its high content of monounsaturated
fat (mainly oleic acid) and polyphenols. It is also rich in anti-oxidants
helping to fight free radicals which cause damage to cells.
